Delhi News Updates: After the thunderstorm Monday morning, cloudy conditions are likely to persist over Delhi till the evening or tomorrow morning, IMD scientist R K Jenamani said. The heatwave conditions, which the capital was witnessing over the last few weeks, are likely to remain suppressed till May 29 or 30, he added. On Monday, the lowest minimum temperature of the season (beginning March 1) was recorded, Jenamani said, as the surface temperature in the national capital fell by 11 degrees, from 29 degree Celsius to 18 degree Celsius due to the thunderstorm. The maximum temperature could remain below 40 degrees till May 26, and is likely to rise to 41 degree Celsius by May 28. A thunderstorm is also expected on Tuesday. The bout of rainfall Monday caused waterlogging, traffic jams and uprooting of trees in several parts Delhi and Gurgaon.
